NORWALK, CT – October 1, 2009 – Mobile learning expert Dr. David Metcalf will deliver the keynote address at the Questionmark 2010 Users Conference to be held March 14 – 17, in Miami, Florida. This will be the eighth annual North American conference organized by Questionmark, a global provider of assessment technologies and solutions. Metcalf will explore the effects of increased mobility and internet use on assessments and learning in his address, "Assessments on the Move: Mobility, Mashups and More.” His presentation will examine key trends, design techniques, and technologies that are emerging to meet the assessment challenges and changes of today and tomorrow. These include the use of “stealth” assessments that blend with learning content on mobile devices, Web sites, wikis, blogs or within of mashups. Dr. Metcalf is a senior researcher at the University of Central Florida’s Institute for Simulation and Training and an online faculty member at Walden University. He explores leading edge innovations in learning, specifically with regard to learning business strategy, performance measurement, operational excellence, outsourcing, blended learning, games/simulations and mobile learning. He is the author of several recent works including: Blended eLearning: Integrating Knowledge, Performance Support and Online Learning, “Operational Excellence” in Elliott Masie’s book, and mLearning: Mobile Learning and Performance.
