Questionmark Announces Support for JSR 168 NORWALK, CT – September 15, 2006 -- Testing and assessment software provider Questionmark today announced that it now supports the Java Specification Request 168 (JSR 168) portlet standard to enable the integration of online assessments with portals. Questionmark’s support for JSR 168 will allow customers to display portlets within any JSR 168 compliant portal product, enabling integration of online assessments with other key enterprise systems. Users of the Questionmark™ Perception™ assessment management system may now download example code for providing participant and administrator access to Perception via a JSR-168 compliant portal. JSR 168 is a standard programming specification that makes enterprise applications more accessible to end users through a portal of choice. A “portlet” is a pluggable user interface component that is displayed in a web portal. Both open-source and commercially produced portal servers have embraced the JSR 168 standard, which enables interoperability between portlets and portals. With today’s announcement, it is now possible to deploy a portlet within a JSR 168 compliant portal that provides participants a list and direct links to assessments assigned to them in Perception. Likewise, the portlet could give administrators single sign-on access to Perception’s assessment scheduling, reporting and management functions.
