Questionmark Press Release - Moodle Connector

NORWALK, CT – December 15, 2009 – A connector integrating the Questionmark™ Perception™ system and the popular Moodle 1.9 open source course management is now available from assessment technologies and services provider Questionmark.

The Questionmark Moodle Connector can be accessed free of charge as an open source Community Edition as part of Questionmark’s Open Assessment Platform™ initiative. Developers can visit Questionmark’s developer Web site to obtain the latest version of the connector and access Questionmark toolsets and example code. They can also participate in the development process, hosted by SourceForge, and collaborate with others in shaping future editions of the connector.

The connector enables instructors to link their Moodle courses to course evaluations, quizzes, tests and exams deployed using Perception. Instructors may specify assessment dates and limit the number of times students may access assessments. Students authenticated in Moodle can link directly to Perception assessments, which are automatically scored. The Connector then passes test results back for reporting via Moodle’s Grade Report. Students may also review results via Perception’s Coaching Report, which provides a detailed view of results to identify knowledge gaps and guide remediation. Institutions have the option of using the Questionmark Secure add-on for delivering high-stakes exams.
