Questionmark Perception Scheduling Managing Participants
Managing Participants
| Overview |
 |
Participants are those who take assessments; their names must be checked against the roster held within the security database. The maximum number of named participants is a potential limit that can be placed on the security database to allow for the distinction between small and large systems. Names can be added, changed and deleted at will, although no more than the maximum number can be stored at any one time. |
| Participant details |
 |
Administrative users such as instructors and managers can maintain many details about a participant, the most important being the participant ID and password. However, many other details are maintained to allow for effective reporting or contact with the participant. Other details include:
- Details of the groups that they belong to (for scheduling and reporting purposes)
- First and last names
- Email address
- Primary and secondary address details
- Demographic details
- Other mail/merge details for sending emails
|
| Importing details |
 |
Participant details can by typed by hand, imported from an ASCII file or added using QMWISe and web services. The following details can be imported: participant ID, password, first name, last name, email address and grouping information. Passwords can be automatically generated on the fly if required.

| Demographic details |
 |
Up to 20 demographic fields can be maintained that relate to a participant. Up to 10 of these demographic data, such as location, educational achievement, etc., can be passed through to the answer database as special fields as the assessment is being taken. |
